Erica's interest and expertise in human anatomy extends beyond the hours she spends working in her massage studio. She has a BFA from the University of Utah in Modern Dance. While there, she attended her first anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology classes and soon became transfixed by the inner workings of the human body. Her extensive dance training gives her a unique understanding of pain and allows her to give focused therapy to facilitate holistic healing.

Erica's underlying philosophy, founded in the Onsen Technique, is that pain, discomfort, and loss of mobility are almost always the result of structural imbalances. Erica focuses on releasing these system-wide and often hidden disharmonies and works with her clients to guide the body back to its native balance.

Being a problem-solver at heart, she enjoys working with clients to identify their aches and pains and subsequently addresses them with a variety of massage practices. Erica listens carefully to how each client characterizes his/her/their pain or discomfort and follows the disruption to its source. Massage has been a crucial aspect of her life, and she hopes to share the incredibly powerful impact it has on the human body with her clients.

In her free time, Erica enjoys walking with her family, exercising, volunteering, and learning about the nutritive power of food – and eating it, of course! She lives in SE Portland with her husband and cat, and adult child when school is out of session.

Suzy found her way to bodywork after healing her own spinal injury with Hanna Somatic Education and Yoga. Realizing her passion for helping others do the same she started to collect the tools she used by traveling to the schools of her teachers. In 2017 she went to India where she studied Yoga and Ayurveda, in 2021 she completed the Hanna Somatic Educator training in Novato, CA and in 2024 she graduated from East West College of Healing Arts in Portland, OR.

Suzy’s focus at the Goose Hollow Healing Collective is Hanna Somatic Sessions and group classes. Hanna Somatic Education(HSE) uses slow, focused, and gentle movements known as neuromuscular retraining to teach your brain how to relax and move your muscles properly. It is a safe and efficient way to get rid of pain, tension, and poor posture caused by Sensory Motor Amnesia(SMA). SMA is a condition in which chronically tight muscles have learned to stay contracted due to repeated and reflexive responses to stress, accidents, injuries, surgeries, and repetitive tasks. The sessions empower you, the client, by teaching you to actively participate in the healing process, giving you the tools you need to maintain a healthy, pain-free body, by engaging and re-educating your nervous system, and connecting to your movements.
